 This is a custom that is performed on Halloween where you go house to house,  wearing your new halloween costume, asking for treats, such as sweets or sometimes, though rarely, for money, and asking the question "trick or treat". This used to be performed soley by the kids of the neighbourhood, but nowadays adults are becomming involved more and more.
